K-01 is Not For Japanese Home Market?

Nice observation, Japanese users love compact size and a more traditional design. K01 won't able to compete with the other mirrorless system in Japan.

my guess is they're launching a d-slr soon, and have decided to save the 300 colors, plus robot, plus hello kitty versions of the k-01 to announce in japan a little later that is all...
would make sense to wait for the first tests on image quality to get published, before announcing more versions that look even more toy like...
