AF Speed of the K-01 (Shown in a Video Demo)

View from 1:22 and the camera is focused for several times with the new XS Pancake. The speed seems to be fast and snappy and should be faster than the CDAF in LV mode of both the K-5 and K-r.

Yes...Rather fast
Here's some more:From the video I deducted these:
- The DA40XS is screw driven (not surprised), which means it will be crap for video.
- The K-01 doesn't look like it's weather sealed. As the rubber flaps look way too flimsy for that.

It is not weather sealed. Here, some specifications from http://www.pentaximaging.com/hybrid/K-01_Yellow#!...
Body dimensions (W x H x D): 4.8 x 3.1 x 2.3”
Body weight
Without battery or removable memory: 16.9 oz
Loaded and ready: 19.8 oz
Construction material(s): Machined aluminum frame with rubber accents
Weather resistant: n/a
Operating temperature: 32-104°F
From the cover door construction as seen in various first videos, the K-01 should not be waterproof.
now we need results with other Kmount lenses

For a first-release, nice, esp. with the "pancake" as backup for the K-5. I would agree that screwdrive may be bad for video (noise when re-focusing), but this might be helped by software (some kind of slow-but-silent-mode). Hope the build quality will be decent enough - if so. the Nex-s have company :-)
