K-5 Sharpness Vs Fine Sharpness Vs Extra Sharpness (Test Sample Set 3 of 3)



FA43 lens on K-5, shot on tripod, 2s self-timer/SR off, ISO 100, f/5.6, Natural Custom Image (Saturation +1). Images were then resized to 3,999 pixels in width and all EXIF data are preserved. Click on the following links to download and view the large samples in new tabs:-

So, in order to make this even more scientific, what's your conclusion and what are the recommended settings ?

There is nothing scientific, as Leon said, it could be just a matter of preference after all. :-)
Its a mater of a preference. I liked most the Extra Sharpness +2
but it is really doesn't mater for me, as I shoot only RAW and I am adding sharpness in PP software. for most LR...

The extra sharpness seems to deliver most details as well as better local contrast than the other two but Plus 2 seems a bit too much for the artifacts. Maybe I shall try Plus 1.
