More K-3 Product Images (There is a K-3 Silver and Grip!)

Well, the Ricoh logo on the back is really disgusting! I would rather prefer they changed the front logo to Ricoh altogether one off! One big reason that forces me not to consider and buy the K-3 is just this tiny but ingenuous Ricoh logo mark! >:-(

24Mp are welcome if noise is kept low as on the K5. The silver version is ugly, but with the grip it becomes horrible.

Considering that the Nikon D7100 uses similar sensor and manages to get less noise than the K-5, I believe the K-3 will have even lower noise than the D7100. Especially if the rumored use of new fujitsu millebout image processor as the PRIME III is true. I'm hoping the K-3 could get close to 1600 ISO on DXO mark noise test.
Ricoh is cool company with cool cameras. Just to try GR and GXR.
The silver version looks pretty good
Totally totally totally not bothered about which brand name is written where, as long as it's a new K-fit camera.
Grateful to Ricoh for rescuing Pentax.

And ABSOLUTELY delighted about the new camera. Phenomenal. Can't wait.

+1, but will suppress my emotions until I see how camera really performs.
Rice, you are never happy, aren't you?
Nikon 7000 was very good camera but K-5 with very same sensor was better (in terms of IQ, what always should be consider as most important. I used both cameras so I think I know what I am talking about). K-3 will (probably) share the same sensor with Nikon 7100 which is very good camera. I believe that Pentax will be better again because of careful implementation of the sensor (software and algorithms).
All the information we have about K-3 so far are good: better video (important for many, including me), two card slots, better AF (!!), still very good ergonomics. After K-5 I expect just very good IQ from K-3. And I used K-5 as a tool in various photographic scenarios, from fine art photography and fashion to sport, portrait, commercial and nature. Of course there were some issues (poor selection of lenses, AF little bit out of the date etc), but for photographer who know the job K-5 was fine (once again - I worked with pro-grade - and sometimes smi-pro - Nikon, Canon, Hassel and Sinar equipment and Pentax is just my personal choice, I bought it for me as a home camera). I am more than happy - as a PHOTOGRAPHER and Pentax system USER - with K-3 specyfication.
And name? Well - it was Asahi Pentax once upon a time. Now is the Ricoh Pentax. Pentax was (and is) the trademark for legendary photographic machines, Asahi (and now Ricoch) is just company behind the success. Name is not important at all - the photographs are important.

I'd rather see it in a less prominent place. But I am glad they are progressing with the brand. Totally disappointed in the APS-C centric approach, but glad they are still in business.

Since lead-oxide lenses are now exempt, I'd like to see them bring those back because they are better and we'd could stop looking for the old lenses (low serial number FA43s, etc...). People are not buying new lenses because of this.
Looks really good, can't wait to try it out :)
I can't wait new silver grip. Hope it will be compatible with k5 silver.

"Pentax" on the front and "Ricoh" on the back disturbs me.
I have lots of respect for Ricoh as a manufacturer, but they should support and strengthen their Pentax brand instead of diluting it.

Yes, this polygamy practice does no good to Pentax the brand!
You guys are just stone. People putting so much money on Pentax, helping Pentax to re-life, else it is going to dead under HOYA way of "manage". Can't you guys just supportive a bit and give yourself some respects, some people doing charity also want to have a big press conference to announce, Ricoh will be the only backbone of Pentax for the rest of the Pentax life(at least for the next 10 years), what is the problem to put a small name at behind while we still seeing big PENTAX at the front? In additional, Ricoh name is much much well known than Pentax, don't you think it will also bring a good reputation to it?
To me, name doesn't matter, is the quality of product make the different. As long as Ricoh bring some good products under PENTAX name into DSLR market, we should thankful, or else, you and mine kits will just a history.

P/s: Don't shoot me, this just my personal opinion.
Like I said, I like Ricoh as a company, but I think it's confusing for the public to see two different names on one camera that recently were two different camera frirms. In my opinion those owner names better go on the the bottom plate of the camera.
O.F.F.S!

Ricoh, have the stones to kill the Pentax name. Let us ALL grieve, then we can just move on. I swear if you do so, everyone WILL be praising this idea, 4-5 months down the road.

I had a Minolta X-700. Loved that camera. Do I care that the rootkitting Sony, is Minolta IP's new owner? Sony is making some really good NEW cameras. They aren't just rebadging old Minolta stuff.

Besides, Sparx Asset Management and the old Pentax BoD, already killed Pentax dead when they sold 'Pentax Medical' to Hoya. And FWIW, having two Pentaxes is going to be the same nonsense as there being TWO Ataris. Why does Ricoh need this? Why do we?

BTW, does anyone remember that Ricoh sold K-mount cameras? As I understand, they were good cameras.

Anyway, let's end this piecemeal misery. Okay, Ricoh?
Rice, please, look at your bright side of things.
Having Ricoh letters on the back is Godsent in your case; just scrub off letters "oh" and using white paint add "e". Voila!
I think you underestimate Ricoh — they've thought first of you and how you can personalise your K-3.
:-D

I think I already made this joke myself two years ago when Ricoh formally took over Pentax! :-)

If Ricoh put there name on a K mount FF that was on par wih the competition "I would buy it"
The k-3 zzzzzzz not so much.
The better the pictures get of the k-3 the worse it looks. The k-3 is one ugly POS

Rice... We understand you don't like Ricoh. But have you ever use a Ricoh GR compact camera?! I doubt. If you had, you would say Ricoh is GREAT at camera designing and would not fear for the future of Pentax.

And to everybody who wait for a FF for more than 10 years: if you had really needed a FF your job or entertainment or whatever... you would had not wait 10 years!!! So stop blaming Pentax for the lack of FF bcause you surely really don't need it.
Well, Pentax was, from the very beggining, just a name of a product line. The maker was Asahi and the name of the maker was traditionally written on the back of the camera. So this is, in fact, going back to the roots - just the company owning the product line is different. So what? Looks like a great cam, so stop going mad about few letters...
