Well now that the cats out of the bag, I guess people can stop whining about the K-5 price and stop comparing the K-5 to the obviously overcompensated D7000! :p

Behold! - the first APS-C too rival and even outperform a FF system!

I've already ordered my K-5 and it looks I'll get it within the next 2 weeks. Can't wait any longer :-)

Looks good to me.

EXIF (including lens and camera information) is displayed in Bridge CS5 btw.

ex_01: DA* 16-50mm f/2.8
ex_02: DA* 200mm f/2.8
ex_03: DA* 50-135mm f/2.8

No, it's good. Anyway, I think it's intentional to show the details :) Better skin like this than super smooth and unnatural, but that of course is taste :)

very nice samples, I will have a perfect set up for my need with my K-5 and D700; I will be getting the K-5 on Oct. 19th., I think I will be skipping class for its arrival.

Can people start to compare K-5 to 7D and D300s? I think that will be a fair comparison.

Some people might be excited about D7000, I had chance to play with it for a few hours a couple of days ago, the AF is not that fast, I hate the control on the top left hand side, not the best design and easily to turn both dials by accident; I am not that impressed with its buttons layout. I hope the D700 upgrade won't be doing all that on their buttons layout.

I think People should start comparing the K-r with D7000(weather sealed body and 1080P) and 60D(1080P), I think K-r is going to keep up with those two cameras just fine, other than lack of 1080P video(I personally don't care). I did think K-x was a little cheap built, but it seems like K-r is going to be a better built camera than its lil bro...

All photos are converted in K-5's in-camera RAW converter.

1st - f11 and preset SILVER LEAVES.
superfine
saturation 0
hue -4
sharpness 1
contrast 4

2nd
all settings are ZERO. preset - reversal
3rd
all settings are ZERO, contrast 1, preset MONOTONE.

It would be more helpful post something we don't know from EXIFs....like the name of this model.. :o)

Please download the original file with any dwnl add-on (f.i.firefox) and enjoy the IQ of the K-5's vid mode.
The sharpness with the the 2 limited lenses used here is really great!
