Hi!
I remember this from the sixties. Many press photographers used in. There were no zoom lenses then.
Dropped my K5 and myself under water passing a wetland in the Swedish national park "Tresticklan" yesterday. Water flowed from the sun shield like from "a hole in the bucket". Dried it off with apiece of paper and went on working.

This isn't stupid, this is somewhat a very good idea (though I wouldn't use it myself). Multi purpose everything?

I do not think this is stupid at all. Actually if they made this for a Pentax, and put a shock absorber on the lensmount, it may make shooting video a little less wobbly.

Hey, on the Q, you could give it three mounts and carry your whole system with you....
