NEX-5N + SEL 18-55:-

The firmware in camera is said to be pre-production version, but its number is 1.00, as I've just checked.

Seems to be quite sharp for the Zeiss lens (but the kit lens is not that bad neither, btw). The colour rendition of the Zeiss lens does look somehow better, too. But IMHO, it is not going to beat down my NEX-3 with Pentax FA primes on it. A previous illustration photo of my gear:-

Yes, Zeiss color rendition is exciting, but not better than one of FA Ltds

Nex-5N seems to do better at high ISO than K-5, Nex-C3, D7000, A580

best ever high ISO APSC?

Not really, strong noise reduction is applied, causing loss of much details. See this comparison:-

In fact, the 645D did the best.
That's A77link that you posted ... I said Nex-5N
Oh yes, I must be dizzy right now, better to go sleep! ;-)
Comparing with a EP-3 is not really meaningful, IMHO. m4/3 is not famous for high ISO IQ.
The sharpenings are different. It is obvious that the contrast of the 5N pictures is higher and more (fine) sharpening is applied, hence resulting in more sharpening artifacts. The 5N pics look more saturated, too.
