Distortion, both uncorrected and corrected, and resolution at different apertures were measured.
On the other hand, the other lens tests for the DA18-135, DA50 and DA40XS were made with other Pentax bodies namely the K-30 and the K-01.

Did you use any equipment to measure the focusing speed or this is your opinion based on the emotions?
Every time Pentax presented the new camera model on the market - some Pentax fans make their statements that focusing speed increased compare to previos camera model.
I passed through the evolution of SAFOX in *istD, K10D, K-7 and K-5: I did not make any measurements, emotionally - nothing have been changed in the focusing speed, but one may say that focusing accuracy is getting better from the model to model. ;)
If your measurement is correct - it is the great news!

The AF on the K500 is faster and nervous(than the K5II) but i have a horrible électronique noise.
I think that the Pentax K 500 and Pentaxk 50 have a new safox (not the safox IX, Not the Safox X)
Pentax does not want to say because the experts users not more customers the K5 II
it is my belief
