Ricoh Starts to Sell Off Pentax' Old Patents? (But Yet Another New "Ricoh" Patent Submitted)

See what is recently reported in this PF thread:

http://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-news-rumors/231593-ricoh-selling-off-licensing-pentax-designs-patents.html

The previous Pentax Ricoh patented design now becomes a Vixen's!

If it is true, it is really too bad! And Pentax is doomed!!

Btw, Ricoh has yet submitted a new patent application for a stupid and useless design and thing like this:

(in Japanese)

So, what is this then? If I understand correctly, it is an automatic flash bounce head which will rotate by itself according to the holding position of the camera, horizontally and vertically! :-o Just imagine while the user composes the picture, the flash head has its motor moving, and driving / changing the position of the bounce head..! =_="

You should consider changing you blogs name to "Rice High's Pentax is doomed Blog". Just seems more fitting lately... ;-)

I am only copying the comments from the Pentaxians who have repsonded to the PF thread! :-D
I think they were making fun of you there. :P
Seriously. Your signature slogan is "Pentax is doomed." You should trademark that.
Nope. Pentax is a trademark of Ricoh already! ;-p
Pentax is not Doomed.. Pentax is a label not a mark....Telescope...boring..is not photography. its normal that Ricoh sell...No interest for
Pentax is still OK.
They have to get some money for the new projects.
Who cares?

There is a credible rumor circulating that Ricoh has just sold Pentax to Waffle house!

Awesome! I like waffles!
It's going to make pancake lenses exclusively. :)
From now on it should be ''Rice High's Pentax Rumors and Deception Blog''.
It seems that rumors are more important than having fun with the equipment, you should go out more often and have fun. Please enjoy life instead of showing frustrations. Attitude and acceptance is so important. Anger and frustrations not so.
You take this too seriously.
empty talk
Telescope...boring..is not photography.

An astrograph is a camera lens. Pretty much any optical telescope can function as a camera lens but an astrograph is specifically designed for the purpose of photography.

For instance, the DA560 is a telescope by itself which was modified into a camera lens!
The astrograph is a special photo camera working with long focal lens.
What to do, the stars are far from us.
Optically tele-lenses and telescopes are very similar.
The PENTAX tele objectives are very good.
I hope they will continue to develop them.
They are spring cleaning and organising garage sale. With the money earned they can finance more important and relevant projects, like the versatile FF approaches.

Pentax full frame is a joke. Rumors were that something would be announced in spring. Nothing. Nada. Same for the long rumored 645D replacement. Where's the K-3?
No, rumors were that the official announcement will come no sooner than this fall with a product available in 2014.
That's not a patent, is it? It is a design. Pentax is unable/unwilling to produce that lens/telescope (earthquake damage?), and instead of letting the design rot they let another company produce it and earn money along the way, while people still get to enjoy a lens that disappeared from the market. I don't know why that would be a bad thing.
Truly I agree with you because I have seen that new patent which has been submitted by Ricoh through your sharing link and another thing I just want to say that if it is a design then you can accept this but you will not purchase it as a patent value because this will not suitable for you. So thanks for informing us about this issue and hopefully you will resolve this problem as early as possible. Thanks
how can I get a patent
