Update (8-5): The above picture link is dead because Ricoh has changed the domain name of their website. I just won't bother to correct that as it's the sole fault of Ricoh!

Well, the main point of those RP cameras is now colours, not the colours of the images they produce, but the colours of the camera shells! Well done, Ricoh! >:-(

Perhaps they should hire Hasselblad's designer to design them a range of grips made from olive tree, mahogany, sinker rosewood, ebony and African padauk, and instead of GR, paste in a big "H".

If color customization of the body would be the additional option to the new models of modern cameras with excellent parameters - it would be good.
If it is just simply the coloring gadgets as we see now - this is boring and sad enough.

I remember playing with Leica's customizor (for film cameras) not long ago and combining M-7 & MP-3 parts, sounded like a good way to unload old technology. A lot of salesmen brag about being able to sell old stock to people who really want cutting edge technology if they can aford it just before it's within their reach!
