A Thread to Help Jim Malcolm of Ricoh Pentax USA

http://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3467089

What we can see in the thread, as quoted or posted are: Desperate Pentaxians are leaving, the ship is sinking, the salesman was bull-shitting, stupid fanboys who bought very little Pentax stuff and rather infrequently responded and defended in between the dialogues..

So, if you have an account over there, you are encouraged to post something to respond, so as to help Jim, for what he had asked!

You can also respond here btw if you wish~

N.B. The headline of "Ricoh Pentax USA" is NOT a Typo as Jim was actually a Ricoh man rather a true Pentax' guy before he replaced Ned Bunnell. And now there is a new Ricoh Japanese boss above him who is stationed in the US anyway.

It takes time to join 2 companies into one but i can see where it is going. I know you get eyeballs on your blog when your negative and critical but if they rush things to early you will be even more negative an in that case you will be right,. That was one k-01 problems it was rushed out, i have one and love it but it could have been a lot better if they had taken a little more time to develop it. So just wait i believe they can be an innovative company and i look forward to what is coming in the next few years. People are fickle and will return to pentax.....

Ricoh has proved to be a very innovative company in it's office and high end printing businesses and they have a very innovative corporate environment. In fact most analyst consider them more innovative that canon..

FF market is very small (2% of interchangeable lens cameras). Pentax should concentrate on APS-C and smaller sensors. Those, who leave Pentax because of lack of FF are a very small group, but a loud one in the Internet.

I've held off buying a FF for 10 years, but limited my lens selection to used FF. I still have my K-10, K-20, K-5, K-5lls as well as my MZS and K-1000 but will eventually get rid of my junk within a few years of buying a good FF and lenses for that mount (now that I can get a good one for 3 large). Pentax sent the wrong message when they came out with the D645, the sooner Ricoh admits they don't want Pros or aspiring Photographers the sooner they can join the ranks of cheap makers at target. What color do you want !!!
