I trust this means Pentax K mount is now officially dead, as this website claimed not so long ago?

It will continue to be both crippled and handicapped, i.e., in cropped format, in the foreseeable future!
the ricoh is quite handsome

Yes, it looks better than the Pentax, for both sides. In fact, RP has put the GR before the PK in the above page, so Pentax is nearly doomed! ;-)
c'mon...they are both FF watches :)
so this was what we were waiting for ? the big announcement on the 17th of April?

Oh Boy !!! I love those wind-up watches, I'm going to run down Target today and get one (before they stop making the color I like) thanks Richo?
What no answering machine? How about a tape deck?

Seriously though: they look nice and as someone who still likes to use watches (as well as tapes and answering machines [although mine is a real fancy digital one from kmart]) and take pictures on film how about a film camera (with all that nice weather sealing that apparently didn't make it into he mz-s)?

"Pentax K" :-)

That is the proof! The Pentax FF will be "K"

I am sure, they will soon discontinue all FA (limited) lenses to replace them by DFA versions.

btw.
do the Pentax K and Ricoh GR Limited Watches share the same coating?

the Pentax seems to be WR and already is a limited silver Version
I like the design of the aperture ring, but 5 to 55 is not wide enough
but we have to admit, it was really true. Pentax released a new K model.__And it has no date function, only hours.__Maybe it means that we can count the release of a real new K model in hours?
Ricoh wants to be like Epson? (Seiko-Epson that is), making both printers and waters...

Ricoh -Pentax, maybe Pentax would become a water maker like Seiko...

They are giving us everything we never asked for...
Pentax just update their release to clarify that it is a 16 hour watch and not a full 24 hour watch. They have stated that “Pentax has absolutely no plans to release a full day watch.” Adam from Pentax Forum has responded positively with the following “It is a logical move since Pentax users are asleep 8 hours a day and are not interested in what time it is while they are sleeping.” Pentax added that in the final analysis they found no need for the full day watch and if any consumer thought they actually needed a full day watch for some reason there were other watch manufacturers that they could send their money to..

There are always excuses from Pentax and to be seconded by PF, for whatever!
It seems that both watches are full frame. Very good indeed. I won't wear cropped watch. Thanks, Pentax and Ricoh!

Nope, it is cropped! 16 over 24 hours is in 1.5x cropped, exactly! >:-(
i wonder if it will be available in different colors....
I suppose a Pentax parfume lineup will be put in place soon ?

Their known for that Pentax glass so I am guessing it will be slick sun glasses designed by none other than world renowned designer Mark New-Who?
