I am sold if this one is true! Also the IR compatiblity with IR Flashes as stated above and the ISO-50 capability is a clear winner!

Please, let all of this be true!!!

Why is ISO 50 good? Are you aware how the camera creates this ISO? First it overexposes the image by two stops (assuming ISO 200 is the natural ISO for this system) and then the software pulls the image down. Basicly you lose (almost - the extreme shadows are a little cleaner) two stops of dynamic range. It is absolutely useless for RAW-shooters, and even for JPGers something you should know the flaws of.
No, I never knew how it shoots that way. I assumed it would do like in the old film, like a REAL ISO-50. So, that's how a 5D Mark II takes ISO-50 shots aswell?

I really gotta digg deeper into that matter!

Anu is absolutely correct, most sensor's base ISO is 200 and everything else goes from there... That's why you have Standard (base) ISO sensitivity and Expanded.. Dig deeper Moritz, dig.. :o)
Great model it would be if the specs are real. And for that specs i think that the retail price is quite good. Just wonder how the new SAFOX will perform in AF-C, in k7 it's nice but in k5 i expect to be very good to great.
Starts to look better,

The things that really get my interrest

Complete new focus system

Hybrid VF
- with the focus points where they really are ?

Sensitivity
• ISO standard : 200-12800
• Expanded ISO : 50 - 25,600
- if its better than the k-x :)

Really hope they deliver
To be honest there is no single feature that could raise my interest in any dslr anymore :) waiting for more ILDC choises, no more "looing through the doorhole on a camera" features for me please. Never could see the additional info in the viewfinder.. they are just so inconvenient for me.. or my face
it's a K7 rebranded..

Well, the sensor alone is quite a bit better than that of K7, though the sensors of K7 and K20 are better than their reputation is, and the sensor is kind of important part of the camera. Other than that it seem like an evolution, not revolution. Too bad Pentax missed the mirrorless boat - they could still hop in by doing fully weather protected mirrorless series with every camera equipped with a VF. Too bad they won't be doing it as the limited resources are used to the medium format camera and the K-mount machines.
And Nikon d300s is a completlly new concept

So is every next human on this earth than... Pentax can't compete with attitude...or may not want to...
I also hope that the SAFOX IX+ will be something good. The SAFOX VIII was bad enough not buying a new Pentax, especially when compared to Nikon and Canon.
Happy K7 user but these specs will make me buy a K5.

What do you want for your K7 then?
Hi,
Thanks for the info, do you know whether it autofocus in movie mode?

Thats the same from an accuracy perspective as saying, "Possibly Yes".
Both mean the same thing, one just makes it sound negative without any reason.

How about just saying, possibly?
Nope. The chances are Not Equal !
Hmm, isnt the new Nikon 7000 a better overall value for the price? I mean other than 2 addition FPS, in body IS, what else justifies the HUGE price difference?
definitely SR is not a cheap gadget to protect your gear and take a photograph without hesitation of damaging the gear.
