Falk Lumo's K-5 Hands-on Preview at Photokina

Have a look, he has some insights of his own and the 1/250th X-sync rumour is denied (as disclaimed by Pentax Germany). There is also a DNG file for a test chart shot indoor at the exhibition hall for downloading..

Any shutter blur issue found in the K-7 (as looked with a "Falcon Eye"!) with the K-5 then? Let's see what Falk found and talks about himself!

Lumo's last words ... K-5 is an engineering gem and a photographer's pleasure. No wonder it is the only SLR to receive this year's Photokina Star 2010. ..... sound very honest and heartfelt. K-5 should be an endless fun indeed!

I guess it's still too early to come to a conclusion for whether the K-5 is good or not, and about its pros and cons, too, neither. Time will tell.
i really hope, that the use of the FX button to turn on the video mode will allows us to use the M mode for video filming.
And in this case, i am sure that pentax is gonna give us the possibility to fix audio level.
(Maybe, for the average user, they could enable AF during video also)
like Falk says.. hope dies last ;)

If you have higher requirements on audio recording, I think an external mic with windshield is just a must. Btw, the audio level can be fixed by software, unless the signal is already clipped.

As for the (continuous) AF during video recording, I think it would be possible to get it implemented in future firmware update, as the LV CDAF of the K-5 is already made to be very fast, as seen in the last demo shown by the Korean popco.net:-
