From the Above, do note that it seems that this lens has Rear/Inner Focusing mechanism as the focusing ring is just at the rear..

Update (22:00 UTC+8): DPR posts their lens announcement with the K-5 announcement!

Whilst you can find at the DPR for a brief hands-on preview here and a summary of most of the announcements and reactions at the 1001 Noisy Cameras eventually, I yet once again raise a poll here, just like what I did last time for the K-r and the "new" DAL 35/2.4 all plastic lens.

So, it's your take now, here it is!

I wonder how the new safox will be in af-c. Nice update camera, as always it's a shame it haven't been shown last year;)

Very good (even K-7 has very nice AF-C).

But still nothing similar to 3D tracking in Nikon cams.
very disapointed by pentax announcement, d7000 it is my choice :)

Well, somebody got to buy that half magnesium shell D7000 body (top+back) so N is not just watching people getting the full m. shell K-5. I "new" the 8 RAW is a nonsense.... 15+17 sounds just FINE for horse racing... D7000 wouldn't take a single picture for me, got no glass for it.. :o)
Well, photo gear requires handling with care.

Especially if it is an amatuer camera, not professional one :)
Numnuts! The Lens has a new SDM Motor called "DC-Motor", a (as far as I know) ring-type usm like the canon one.

You'd better do your research a bit further, rather then just copying Press-Releases or Google Translations!

Although I have to admit that the price is way too steep for a non fixed f-stop Lens (ie f4 troughout the range)...

It is not SDM. It has nothing related to ultrasonic technology. Read Hoya's patent carefully
this lens looks awesome and with an internal motor to boot. I think they got help from Sigma with this...as they shared metering. This is a really good camera and will save up for it. This is definitely a new beginning for Pentax ..
Only negative is the price - but I wonder how long it would hover at $1,600.......I only have questions on the video side - is 25fps all there is at 1080? How is the AF (no mention of it in what I have read)? How much could be upgraded with firmware updates (like the SDXC)?
