New Full Frame Review and Samples (of 5D3 and D4, Respectively)

Mobile01's 5D3 1st Look:-

(in Traditional Chinese, Google Translation Here)

This review is quite useful IMO, it demonstrates most of the new features of the 5D3 and how they could be different, as compared to the 5D2 and amongst different modes - watch those embedded videos. Furthermore, there are many original full samples for download.

Next, we have a new set of D4 sample pics at the DC Fever. There are "tons" of full samples and they are hot and new!

It's time to measurbate and then decide that if the 16MP D4 pics are actually "much" better than those produced by the K-5, which are actually in the same pixel count.

D4 is full frame aimed at pro sports shooters, K-5 is not in the same class.
K-5 is nice enough but has cooked raw...lets stop comparing chalk and cheese

Nikon D4 test is out by the DxOMark. Here is their comparison to the K5 and D7000: http://www.dxomark.com/index.php/Cameras/Compare-...
The D4 seems to win about 1.5 stop in almost all respects. Interestingly, though, they comment that the dynamic range of the D4 is lower. This is kind of hard to believe, but that is what their numbers say.
Anyway, D4 is way too expensive for a crippled viewfinder size camera. Lets see if Pentax ever puts out a full frame ME Supper with a Sony sensor.

Most of the DR of the K-5 is from the shallow side. So, this DR measurement and figure isn't going to meaningful enough unless the numbers of EV steps above *and* below *mid-tone* are also indicated.

From those D4 samples, I am almost sure that the D4 has better highlight description and retention than the K-5, and so does the 5D3.
