Impressive!! The 3D effect and the "depth" of the images are too magical! :-o Finally, this reminds me of the good old days when I shot with my Limited and FA prime lenses on Pentax film bodies! :-(

Want to see RAW-s, my 5DII is noisy in shadow areas and color noise is huge even in iso 100, if this gets two stops better and the camera sensor retains the same features as 5DII it is superb. I personally hate Sony sensor highlight area handling and noise at highlight surfaces I see. So far I have not seen sensors doing both areas perfectly

Sony sensor like that used in the K-5 would have no noise in highlight areas as everything has already been clipped and details are washed out! :-o
Thats you using the K-5 because again, you were told what you can do to avoid that problem, but seems you don't even want to try! :-o
I tried every setting of my Pentax cameras since my K-m which was the first Pentax DSLR had the highlight priority option, but up till now I just can't find any DSLR on Earth that has that *trick* implemented to my satisfaction for the final IQ and results of the pictures, Canon 5D MkII inclusive.

Pentax has disabled the option by default, just think about it of why.
I love your rationale. "Pentax by default has the option disabled by default." There are many useful options they have disabled by default! It works fine. But since apparently you don't get good result from it, learn to expose to the right. Remember: the best ranked APS-C total DR camera by DXo surely doesn't have a highlight problem.
While they are better than the horrible initial shots that surfaced, they sure have tons of noise reduction. The hair in the woman model for example is a mess (one of the shots with a woman with a yellow/green/blue blouse). But I have come to realize as resolution goes up, the lens gets stressed more. These high megapixel cameras really need better lenses to show their full potential, so I think 100% pixel peeping is not fair on the camera considering the end product (a moderate size print or web).

I like the tones, but not seeing anything that would make me jealous from the K-5. The bokeh of the lenses seems pretty decent. The AF will most likely be better (one thing I would envy).

To be fair, if these are JPEGS, would be good to see results from a RAW conversion. As JPEGS they are decent.
The hair just falls outside the DoF which a FF camera has less.
No, I am not talking about a DOF issue. I am talking about a sharpness/processing issue of hair. And in that very same shot the model's face looks like it had quite a dose of Noise Reduction ending up a bit plastic. (but then that's usually Canon's JPEG engine for you).

Sorry to say, but my K-5 definitely shows much more detail at pixel level. There's indeed tons of noise reduction going on in those MkIII shots...

However, the MkIII shots look definitely nice when resized to web sizes.

My thoughts, pretty much.
Absolutely as I think =) Thanks
Is it just me or is the landscape shot with autum colors very fuzzy and soft? I don't think it is a depth of field issue because it looked soft everywhere not just the background. It is in bright light so why I cannot imagine that it is noise reduction, or is it? These are official photos?

Yes, they're official as the pictures are on Canon's own servers.

The fact that the landscape shot went wrong is a strong indication of smearing details by a harsh noise reduction.
Honestly, I think theses samples show very poor details; It's not sharp at all despite lens used at their best aperture... Just compares theses with the foveon SD1 sensor, you'll know what I mean. The noise ratio seem's ok though, but we need Raws samples to have a good idea.

My old K10D still beat it on sharpness @ base iso, outch
Like always with amateur canon dslr far too much image processing, it's cartoons, not photos.
