Excepted that one is more silent than the other one...

I think I've told that already, "YOU decide"!
As we already know - SDM is suxx.

Because it uses micro motor instead of ring one.

Lens is slow and inaccurate.

Rice, if we don't see the target to AF and don't see real EV, nothing to discuss. We don't know the condition of such strange tries to show us SOMETHING.
SDM = silent and smooth. Not speed. What are you talking about?

Well, if you had conspiracy theory in mind, there is also nothing to discuss further! :-)

No need to discuss every break wind in the web...
I've seen some unsatisfactory post on your blog about Pentax so my question has to be why do you still use it...I see you've invested a lot of money in Pentax gear ad most of the stuff you have could good for a huge buck on the market so why not sell it all and switch to Canon or Nikon already...i'm a owner of a Pentax red Kx and it suits my needs very well for now but i'm not someone who would stay with a brand(brand loyalty) if im not happy with their products in see no improvement in the company which seems to be your argument/grief with the company

I think you've missed the point. Cost and money for those photographic gear is a non-issue to me. I can buy the 645D at any time if I wish to (provided that there is the goods). But sometimes sentiments and memories are something that you cannot explain with just in terms of money, especially when Pentax and gear have been with me for decades already (and you can't buy back some old good glass even you do have the money).

Also, I do have also Canon and Pana systems with me by now and may soon get the NEX. So, it is just totally irrelevant after all.
I can't argue with you for staying with Pentax since you're coming from that stand point but I do wish more growth would come from the company and that more lenses and bodies would come from them
