Oil Leakage Inside DA Limited Lens

This fault/defect is strange enough:-

http://forum.xitek.com/showthread.php?threadid=918700

(in Chinese, Google English Translation Here)

As it can be clearly seen, oil is leaked inside the lens and thus caused fogging. That's it:-

The Pentax user also mentioned that he opted to send in his K-r together with the DA70, of which the repair is mandatory, for "calibrating" his body for the yellow-light front focusing. But it is just worthless at the end of the day, because every K-r is just the same regarding this!

Focusing ring lube (grease) turns oil in high heat. What a classic.... regardless how new the lens is... Technician should be able to tell the culprit..

Looks more like like delamination of a composite element to me. If it is indeed an "oil spill" it should be easily fixed, provided you have the right skills and tools to open and reassemble the lens. Use a sparingly amount of a pure solvent (isopropanol works well on most stains and also on oil, for external surfaces some deionized water sometimes has to be added if the stains are caused by polar contaminants). Use a good quality soft cotton swab VERY carefully (no "lens polishing") and make sure you do not flood the lens edge in case it is a cemented element.
