Pentax Q Suffers Much from Image Details Loss from ISO 200 and Up!

This test is self-explanatory, the pictures indeed speak themselves:-

ISO 125

ISO 200
ISO 400
ISO 1600

Umm.., the noise is not particularly obvious, but the image details suffer! >:-[

Do note that the above shows a real-world application of using higher ISO speeds for shooting, i.e., at/for lower light environments.

It seems that such a small sensor is really helpless and actually, hopeless! :-(

Remember those are JPEGS, not RAWS. You should grab a new Pen, set the noise reduction to standard and shoot in the same light… see what happens.

PS: Not saying the Q would match the Pen, but I don't think it's "hopeless' as you put it.

Don't think that JPEGs are always inferior to RAWs. It could be BETTER, see:-

That totally depends on the RAW converter and what settings were used. I saw the JPEG out of camera of the ISO 6400 shot I linked to in some places, and the RAW certainly has more detail even if the JPEG engine is doing a good job.

Do note this is more critical as ISO goes up, not at low ISO. So I am hardly making any unqualified statements here. It doesn't change the point I made about the Pen either, but then maybe you consider a 4/3rds sensor hopeless too :-)
Oh and talk about irrelevant. Your link is to a K-m anyway, not the Pentax Q.
On an older version of Silky Pix too no less.
I did, search the Blog and you'll find it! ;-)
