I believe this was post-processed by the user with video editing software, but not a built-in function of the Q. Last time I checked the Q manual, there is not such a function mentioned, no matter for real-time and in-camera post-processed. Btw, please correct me if I am wrong. Still, I share this video:-

For video #2: Same procedure, except the effect used looks like "tone expansion".
I just tried both (the first time I've used the video function). It does work in real-time, you can see the effect onscreen when filming. Actually, you MUST set an effect prior to filming - the camera will not apply an effect afterward to a video clip.
Pg. 112 of the manual mentions that frames may be dropped when using filters with video. It doesn't explicitly say which filters can be used, I assume all of them.
Pg. 136 tells you under what camera settings you cannot use filters - RAW, multi-exposure, HDR, night scene, quick macro, etc. It does not mention video, so I guess they're leaving it to the user to infer that video can be combined with filters. They should be a little more clear on this.
